Morning Light

About the image:
Inspired from the works of Rembrandt. I used one of his paintings "Meditate" as a point of departure for this piece. Learning light from the masters.

How was the image made:

Modeled in polys, textured in photoshop, 31 spotlights, 1 point, raytrace shadows, rendered in Mental Ray (no gi). atmostpherics created using lightfog and zdepth as alpha for compostiting in Shake. The end result is a 15 second animation with 3 camera viewpoints.
